Services
Five lines.
One rate.
Every engagement is priced from one standard commercial hourly rate. Fixed-fee scopes are estimated hour counts within that rate, not independently invented price points, and the figures are set out in the Statement of Work before you commit to anything.
Retainers are invoiced monthly in arrears, net 15 days. Fixed-scope engagements are invoiced 50% on signature and 50% on acceptance of deliverables.
01
SMEs needing senior delivery leadership for an active project
Fractional project management
A part-time senior project lead on a fixed monthly allocation of hours, for a live project that has a vendor, a team, and no consistent owner.
- Duration
- Three months minimum; commonly three to six, aligned to the project it supports
- Priced as
- Monthly retainer against a fixed hour allocation. Typical allocations run 40 to 80 hours per month.
- Commitment
- Retainer · 40–80 hrs / month
We act as the senior project-delivery lead for your project on a fixed monthly hour allocation. Suited to a business with a live implementation, an engaged technology vendor, or an internal delivery team, but no one senior who owns the outcome end to end.
What we do
- Establishing and maintaining the project charter and delivery schedule
- Stakeholder mapping and communication management
- Active RAID-log ownership: risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies
- Decision-log and action-tracker maintenance
- Vendor coordination, follow-up and escalation
- Regular status reporting to the client sponsor
- Change control on scope, schedule and effort
- Implementation-readiness or closeout planning
What you keep
- Project charter and agreed scope
- Milestone plan and delivery schedule
- Stakeholder map and communication plan
- RAID log
- Decision log and action tracker
- Status reports at an agreed cadence
- Vendor follow-up and escalation records
- Implementation-readiness or project-closeout plan
Boundaries of this service
We do not perform development or configuration work, do not manage your staff directly, and do not assume accountability for vendor deliverables.
02
Projects that are delayed, unclear or at delivery risk
Project-health check
A short, independent review of a project that is late, unclear or drifting, ending in a prioritised recovery plan.
- Duration
- Two to four weeks
- Priced as
- Fixed fee, estimated at 20 to 40 hours of work.
- Commitment
- Fixed fee · 20–40 hrs
An independent review of a live project that is delayed, unclear or at risk. We examine what is actually happening rather than what the status meeting says is happening, and we put the findings in writing.
What we do
- Project scope and the quality of its documentation
- Milestone status measured against baseline
- Stakeholder alignment and decision-making structure
- Risk and issue exposure
- Vendor dependencies and coordination
- Open and overdue decisions
- Reporting adequacy
- Delivery blockers
What you keep
- Concise written assessment report
- Project delivery scorecard
- Updated or newly constructed risk register
- Prioritised list of critical issues
- A 30-, 60- or 90-day recovery plan with named owners and dates
Boundaries of this service
The health check assesses and recommends. It does not implement the recommendations; remediation is a separate engagement.
03
SMEs with multiple projects or inconsistent project controls
PMO setup
A governance capability sized to your organisation, built and handed over, with your own staff trained to run it.
- Duration
- Four to eight weeks
- Priced as
- Fixed fee, estimated at 40 to 80 hours of work.
- Commitment
- Fixed fee · 40–80 hrs
Establishment of a proportionate project-governance capability for businesses running several concurrent projects, multiple vendors, or repeated implementation work without consistent controls. We assess current practice, design a governance model sized to the organisation, build the toolkit, and train your people to operate it.
Proportionality is the constraint that matters. An enterprise PMO framework imposed on a forty-person business is abandoned within a quarter. We build the minimum viable governance structure that solves the real problem and that your existing people can sustain without additional headcount.
What we do
- Assessment of current project practice and controls
- Design of a governance model sized to the organisation
- Construction of the supporting template toolkit
- Definition of escalation rules and decision thresholds
- Staff training on operating the toolkit
What you keep
- Project-intake form and prioritisation criteria
- Project charter template
- Status dashboard
- RAID log template and operating procedure
- Decision log
- Governance meeting calendar with defined attendees and agendas
- Escalation rules and thresholds
- Change-control procedure
- Project-closeout checklist
- A staff training session on operating the toolkit
Boundaries of this service
We build and train. We do not staff your PMO on an ongoing basis, and we do not administer your projects after handover.
04
SMEs implementing CRM, workflow, reporting or other digital platforms
Implementation governance
A governance layer around an active technology implementation, so it stays aligned to the business need, on schedule, in scope, and actually adopted.
- Duration
- Aligned to the implementation, commonly three to nine months
- Priced as
- Monthly retainer or an agreed hour block, sized to project intensity.
- Commitment
- Retainer · by intensity
This addresses the most common situation we encounter. The software is selected, the vendor is engaged, the budget is committed. The decision is made, but nothing is ensuring the implementation stays aligned with the business need, on schedule, within scope, and adopted at the end.
What we do
- Implementation planning and milestone definition
- Stakeholder and vendor mapping
- Establishment of meeting and reporting structure
- Active risk and dependency management
- Decision-log ownership
- Change-control administration
- Testing and rollout-readiness coordination
- Staff communication and adoption planning
- Handover management
What you keep
- Implementation plan
- Stakeholder and vendor map
- Governance meeting and reporting structure
- Risk and dependency register
- Decision log
- Change-control process
- Testing and rollout-readiness checklist
- Staff communication and adoption plan
- Final handover materials
Boundaries of this service
We govern the implementation. We do not perform configuration, development, data migration or test execution, and we do not replace the vendor's project manager. Where a vendor is failing, our role is to make that visible to you with evidence, not to perform the vendor's work.
05
SMEs assessing or implementing AI-enabled tools
AI-enabled workflow advisory
The discipline that decides whether an AI tool becomes an operational improvement or an unmanaged liability. Not AI development.
- Duration
- Diagnostic: two to four weeks. Implementation support: aligned to the rollout, commonly two to six months.
- Priced as
- Fixed-fee diagnostic estimated at 20 to 40 hours, then a monthly retainer if you elect to proceed.
- Commitment
- Fixed-fee diagnostic, then retainer
Assessment and governance of AI-enabled tool adoption inside an existing business workflow. This is explicitly not AI software development: we do not build models, write integration code, supply AI products, or provide technical AI implementation.
What we provide is the discipline that determines whether an AI tool produces an operational improvement or an unmanaged liability.
What we do
- Identifying where AI-enabled tools genuinely fit an existing workflow, and where they do not
- Defining the process changes required
- Assigning human process ownership and accountability for outputs
- Identifying data-handling, confidentiality and privacy issues before deployment rather than after
- Assessing staff readiness and designing an adoption approach
- Establishing measurement, so you can tell whether the tool actually improved the process
What you keep
- Workflow map of the affected process
- Prioritised use-case assessment, separating viable applications from unsuitable ones
- Implementation roadmap
- Responsibilities and ownership matrix
- Risk and dependency register including data-handling considerations
- Staff-adoption plan
- Post-launch review framework
Boundaries of this service
No model development, no integration engineering, no AI product supply, no data-science services, and no legal or regulatory opinion on AI compliance. Where your AI use raises questions requiring legal analysis, we identify the issue and recommend you obtain qualified advice.
At a glance
Everything reconciles
to one rate.
Where a fee looks like a package price, it is an hour estimate at the standard rate. We would rather quote accurately than discover our assumptions were wrong on a fixed-price basis.

Fit
Who this is built for.
We work best with businesses that have already funded the technology and hit the delivery problem. If that isn’t you, a discovery call will establish it quickly and neither of us wastes the quarter.
- Size
- 1 to 150 employees
- Revenue
- Roughly CAD 200,000 to CAD 30 million annually
- Decision-maker
- A single operational decision-maker: Operations Director, COO, VP Operations, or in smaller firms the founder or CEO
- Digital maturity
- Has already funded a CRM, workflow, reporting, cloud or AI-enabled tool, but has not fully integrated it into daily operations
Four project types we see repeatedly
CRM, software, mobile and cloud application rollouts
Implementation governance, or fractional project management
AI-enabled workflow adoption
Fixed-scope AI workflow diagnostic
PMO builds
Fixed-scope PMO setup engagement
Project recovery
Health check first, converting to a recovery engagement
Scope boundaries
What sits outside every engagement.
Unless expressly included in a signed scope, we do not provide the following. This boundary is stated in every Statement of Work.
It prevents the scope drift that destroys margin on fixed-price work, prevents you forming an inaccurate expectation of what you have purchased, and keeps us clearly outside regulated advisory activity we are not licensed to perform.
- Software licences, subscriptions, or any resale of third-party technology
- Hands-on software development, coding, scripting or configuration build work
- Hardware procurement, supply or installation
- Legal, regulatory or compliance advice
- Cybersecurity certification, penetration testing or formal security assurance
- Accounting, tax or financial advisory services
- Subcontractor services or the supply of contract labour
- Recruitment or staffing services
We manage the delivery process around a technology project. We do not replace your executives, your technology vendors, your developers or your professional advisers, and we do not accept accountability for their performance. Where you need work outside these boundaries, we will say so and, where we can, point you to someone who does it well.
